Jim Hipskind, CPC celebrates 30 years in the recruiting industry.
Continental Search, a recruiting firm specializing in swine management along with the feed industry and its suppliers takes pride in announcing their senior recruiter, Jim Hipskind has completed his 30th year as a professional recruiter. Jim, who now lives in Tennessee, joined Continental Search in 2011 and leads the recruiting for swine management companies, their processing facilities, feed mills and for other manufacturing positions with companies that support the AG industry.
Jim began recruiting in 1985. The National Association of Personnel Consultants bestowed his Certified Personnel Consultant certification in 1988. After spending several years with a regional recruiting firm that specialized in manufacturing, Jim founded Midwest Headhunters in November of 1995. Here he fine tuned his recruiting skills dealing with a variety of disciplines in a variety of industries. He also made presentations to his peers at conferences where he met Dan Simmons. After many years association with his friend, the owner of Continental Search, he joined Dan’s team in 2011. He has lead the swine management recruiting efforts while complimenting Dan’s efforts in the scientific and sales professions with his expertise on all manufacturing and processing searches, along with recruiting feed mill managers.
Jim has recruited and filled positions for three of the top 5 pork powerhouses as well as a number of regional swine producers and independent growers. The positions filled range from department heads to sow farm & grow finish operation managers, resource/service managers, production managers and as high as VP Nursery & Finisher Operations. Along with swine management, he also assists companies that support the swine industry including feed mill management in large and regional commercial feed mills as well as for the larger integrators. These positions include, but are not limited to, Environmental Health & Safety Managers, Feed Mill Managers and Directors of Transportation. His searches are conducted on a national basis and works with swine producers in each part of the country.
